Gondola Resorts, Inc. Launches Florida Vacation Rental Division and Adds 100 Lodging Options in Orlando

Denver, CO (Vocus/PRWEB) April 12, 2011

Gondola Resorts, Inc. today officially added a group of new vacation homes for rent in the Orlando, Florida area that intends to serve thousands of travelers looking for alternatives to the small and confined hotel rooms in the area.

“We see the movement of people requesting more alternatives to the typical 250 square foot hotel room. The 100 rental properties we represent in Orlando truly give consumers a terrific alternative. So, it’s important to us that we continue to expand our offerings and features that provide for enhanced vacations for families,” said Gino Malara, Founder and Executive Director, Gondola Resorts. Gondola Resorts’ new nationwide partnerships are based on property management companies desiring increased bookings at the most efficient and lowest overall investment cost. Gondola Resorts effectively provides this unique and cost effective solution with no investment or risk.

The Denver based company has launched a total of 350 rental property locations in Colorado and Florida since July 2009, including 3 to 7 bedroom homes in Emerald Island, Glenbrook, Indian Creek and 31 other Orlando communities. 90% of the vacation rentals are less than 10 minutes to Disney World, 15 minutes to Sea World and 20 minutes to Universal Studios . The home rentals intend to service the growing population that demands more conveniences, along with providing strategies to help families save money. Strategies to minimize overall expenses include gourmet kitchens that reduce the need for eating-out, and providing in-home entertainment options such as billiards and foos ball tables.

Consistently ranked as one of the top family destinations in the world, Orlando’s number of attractions and extensive offering of family activities make it an ideal location. The new vacation rental location will be Gondola Resorts’ latest addition to what has only been known as a mountain-town rental company. Vacation rental condos and homes near Sea World and Universal studios include Vista Cay, Windsor Hills and Viz Cay.

A deeper analysis of hotels vs. vacation rental homes in the Orlando area offer a better insight into cost savings. Nightly rates for a normal 250 square foot hotel room at The Grand Floridian, located on the Disney World resort property, rents for $ 450 per night. In comparison, a 7 bedroom home in Emerald Island 5-minutes outside the Disney gates, with a private swimming pool, rents for $ 305 per night according to Gondola Resorts’ internet research conducted on April 7, 2011.

“It’s quite evident that a growing number of vacation travelers are moving to home rentals to replace the typical tiny hotel room,” says Malara. “We continuously compare the benefits in our market research and 99% of the time a vacation rental home or condo wins out. We also promote our corporate slogan that summarizes all the benefits of a vacation rental – Find what brings you joy and go there’”.

These “home-away-from-homes” are improved by the addition of an easy to navigate website that can easily add agility and is intended to make the vacation planning process less hectic. Additionally, Gondola Resorts’ new “Compare Prices” utility saves chosen vacation rentals so an individual has the ability to quickly and easily compare 3 or less lodging options. This function gives consumers the chance to evaluate features and benefits of each rental property in order to optimize the selection process.

Gondola Resorts plans to add property locations to the recently-launched Orlando market which will expand offerings to resort locations in Destin, Fort Meyer’s, Daytona Beach and Clearwater, Florida. Operations will be managed out of the company’s Denver office with local partnerships in each market.

Two Belize Resorts Team up with White Sands Dive Shop to Bring the Underwater Paradise of Belize to Scuba Divers

San Pedro, Belize (PRWEB) March 6, 2009

Las Terrazas (http://www.lasterrazasresort.com), Belize’s premier luxury residential resort, and neighboring Journey’s End Resort (http://www.journeysendresort.com) announce their partnership with the White Sands Dive Shop (http://scubalessonsbelize.blogspot.com) on the island of Ambergris Caye. This partnership will allow discerning scuba divers from all over the world to enjoy top-notch accommodations and world-class scuba diving off of the largest barrier reef in the Western hemisphere.

The White Sands Dive Shop is a full service PADI dive center specializing in daily diving, SCUBA instruction and snorkeling for the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. White Sands is a PADI International Resort Association member and is licensed by The Belize Tourism Board.

“We are excited for the opportunity to enter into a mutually beneficial partnership with Journey’s End Resort and the newest of the luxury Belize resorts, Las Terrazas”, said Elbert Greer, PADI Staff Instructor and owner of the White Sands Dive Shop. “By merging our services with the solid reputations that these resorts have achieved in Belize as premier dive resort destinations we feel we will be able to offer divers an unparalleled experience”, added Elbert Greer.

Since Jacques Cousteau popularized the sport in the 1970s, scuba diving has been steadily increasing in numbers. With the recent ‘Planet Earth’ phenomenon, the public surge to explore the ocean floor has reached an all time high. As a result the interest to explore the underwater mysteries of the Caribbean off the coast of Belize and around its many cayes (islands) has been drawing bigger crowds year after year.

“Tourists aren’t just looking for sandy beaches and cocktails anymore, they’re expressing a genuine interest in finding out about the local dive sites, equipment rentals and dive boat availability,” says Ovel Leonardo of Journey’s End Resort in Belize.

Perhaps one reason why scuba diving in Belize is experiencing such a boom is that the natural wonders in its coastal waters were enough to attract even the great Jacques Cousteau in his televised explorations. The country of Belize boasts the second largest barrier reef in the world – second only to that of Australia, and is host to over 300 species of fish and 65 species of coral. Belize also provides drivers an opportunity to explore the world’s most famous blue hole – known somewhat uncreatively as the Great Blue Hole. The Great Blue Hole presents divers with a unique stalactite filled underwater sinkhole stretching 400 feet down, is a World Heritage Site, and is thought to have been first formed thousands of years ago as a limestone cave system where the roof eventually collapsed as the rising sea levels engulfed the system of caves.

With 347 miles of reef to choose from and vacations lasting only a week at best – making sure you dive the best sites is essential. Locals claim the country’s largest island – Ambergris Caye – offers the best of the underwater world. Home to 40 popular dive sites stretching over 20 miles of reef, the aquatically interested tourists should plan to make the island of Ambergris Caye their base.

According to Elbert Greer of White Sands Dive Shop, it’s not just the Cousteau’s of the world who are excited to strap on a tank, “We now offer courses from beginner to expert, guided tours, everything – people of all skill levels are coming down here to dive. And flights to Belize from the United States are just as accessible as many of the popular and more well traveled Mexico destinations.”

So while the ancient ruins and rain forest trails of Belize still appeal to world travelers who are not aquatically inclined, the undersea interest in the coastal waters that team with exotic fish within an intricate system of coral reefs is showing no signs of slowing. If you want a truly unique and unforgettable dive experience book a Belize vacation with Las Terrazas or Journey’s End Resort and let the experienced dive-masters of White Sands Dive Shop show you the underwater wonders of Belize.

Vermont Ski Resorts Bring Vast Upgrades To 2011-12 Season

Montpelier, VT (PRWEB) September 28, 2011

Among the variety of new construction and improvements at Vermont?s resorts, one theme unifies. These snow-centric businesses listen to their guests and year after year, strive to create the best possible experience for their extended family of skiers and riders. Here?s the latest according to Ski Vermont:

BOLTON VALLEY RESORT

According to Bolton Valley Resort President George Potter, skier visits, which included lift ticket and season pass sales, were up more than nine percent last year from the previous season. Ski and snowboard school participation also increased from the previous year, an indication that Vermonters still turn to their local mountains to either learn to ski or ride or to improve their skills. Headed into 2011-2012, Potter and his team continue to run full steam ahead preparing for a December opening with an increase to the resort?s snowmaking efficiency and the addition of a new groomer. The resort will continue to expand its retail inventory.

BROMLEY MOUNTAIN RESORT

In advance of the new KidsRule Mountain Camps program, Bromley plunked close to $ 1 million into a brand new, 3,000 square foot kids facility and gave the Learning Area a top-to-bottom makeover. The resort added a ?Kids? Cabin? for bathroom breaks and warming up and installed a fully enclosed carpet lift.

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Bromley has also added a new trail named ?Orion,? a black diamond glade located between Havoc and Pushover on the East Side. Developed in close coordination with the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation and the Green Mountain National Forest, the goal of the new trail is to not only provide great new terrain, but to ensure a sustainable forest both in and around the expanded terrain.

BURKE MOUNTAIN

As the home mountain to more than 50 Olympians, Burke has had its share of exciting winters, but this season may top them all. After much anticipation, a new high-speed quad will carry guests to the summit in one-third the time of the Willoughby Chair. Skiers and riders will enjoy more time on Burke?s winding trails or deep in the 100+ acres of glades. Burke also added five trails at the summit and a new wind turbine to help offset the energy consumption of the new lift and other resort services. At Mid Burke, the resort is breaking ground on some of the East?s most energy efficient and affordable ski-in/ski-out single family homes; this new construction represents Burke Mountain?s first mountain-run real estate. There?s plenty happening up north this season and it?s just the beginning.

JAY PEAK RESORT

What happens when you give a group of delightfully insane resort marketers a quarter of a billion dollars and ask them to invent a weather-proof ski vacation? Well, you get Jay Peak?s Pump House waterpark. This season Jay Peak will open the Pump House, a 50,000-square foot indoor waterpark ensconced in glass that guarantees happy memories, no matter what the weather. The park features a 50-seat bar overlooking the rides, a slide that drops its passenger into a free-fall and then shoots him or her upside down, and the Double Barrel Flowrider?a standing-wave ride that will allow visitors to ?surf? in Vermont. And when the sun shines and the mercury heads out of the chill zone, the Pump House?s retractable roof will bring the outside in. Should folks be having so much fun they want to spend the night, the attached new Hotel Jay has space for more than 700 guests.

HotelTravel.com’s Best Thai Beach Resorts to Beat the Winter Time Blues

(PRWEB) January 15, 2010

HotelTravel.com recently completed its customer’s poll on Thailand’s most desirable beach destinations to escape the harsh Northern Hemisphere winter, and is offering hot hotel deals in the country’s finest resort areas.

HotelTravel.com Chief Information Officer, Olivier Dombey, said that the allure of Thailand as a tropical beach paradise remained as strong as ever.

“Of course, all Thai beach resorts on offer are not the same – they are as diverse as the tourists who flock to them. Our HotelTravel.com customer’s poll has uncovered a few hidden gems holiday sun seekers might not have heard of before.

“We believe travellers will be amazed at how affordable hotels in Thailand are if they book accommodation on HotelTravel.com,” he added.

Railay Beach, Krabi

For picture postcard beauty, few beaches can match this one. Accessible only by long tail boat from Ao Nang town, Railay offers soft white sand, crystal-clear water and massive limestone cliffs. Whether visitors go to chill out on the beach, rock climb or enjoy the spas and bars of resorts lining the bay, this is many people’s idea of a tropical paradise. It’s virtually impossible to take a photograph that won’t have friends back home green with envy.

Khao Lak, Phang Nga

For those who yearn for Thai beach resorts of the past, then Khao Lak is the spot. The area retains a laidback feel and only a handful of local restaurants and shops line the bumpy roads leading to the beaches. Several nearby national parks provide jungle trekking opportunities or rive rafting. At hotels in Khao Lak you can experience the type of family beach holiday that is fast-disappearing elsewhere.

Pranburi, Hua Hin

Pranburi Thailand is located about 45 minutes south of Hua Hin along the Gulf of Thailand. Its claim to fame is a very clean coastal beach; stunning national parks, rural areas, farmlands and local villages. This relaxing resort area is moving up market but there are still plenty of cheap family-owned bungalows around, including a local favourite called ‘Lazy Beach’. Pristine Koh Talu south of Pranburi is only a short boat ride away.

Ao Sane Beach, Phuket

This charming little beach is a throwback to the Phuket of old. Bamboo huts with coconut palm thatched roofs, with no air-con or television with prices to match. Ao Sane offers the most basic of infrastructure, a small restaurant right on the water’s edge and a few beach bungalows where guests can still hear the roar of surf day and night. Finding it can be a challenge, drive past the All Seasons Nai Harn and under the large hillside resort. Continue through the car park and out the other side till you reach Ao Sane, or carry on to where the road ends at the very secluded and romantic Baan Krating Jungle Resort.

Haad Rin Beach, Koh Pha Ngan

This is the home of the world-famous Full Moon Parties, which draw thousands of young revellers every month. However, you don’t have to wait for the full moon to enjoy Ko Pha Ngan. Located across the Gulf of Thailand from Koh Samui, it still offers some of the most tranquil and relaxed resorts in Thailand. Here one can rent a motorbike, dine in tiny family-run restaurants and explore secluded beaches.

Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui

Chaweng Beach is the most popular stretch of sand on this charming tropical island. There’s a reason for that; its wide expanse of beach and gently-sloping sand offers the best swimming all year round. Here there is no road separating the front line of bungalows and villas from the sea, beachfront here means ‘right on the beach’.

Nai Yang Beach, Phuket

Nai Yang Beach is another throw back beach that retains its funky charm; a collection of thatch and bamboo restaurants that are tough to find around Phuket. The fact the beach is less than 10 minutes from the airport is one reason it is frozen in time. Mr Kobi’s Bar & Restaurant is a classic for good eats and big fun. To find Nai Yang head south from the airport and turn right just past the intersection for the main road to Phuket Town.

Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Island

Made famous by the movie ‘The Beach’, the beauty of Phi Phi Lei and Phi Phi Don Islands will still leave visitors breathless. Travellers who want a piece of private paradise should hire a long tail or speedboat, pack lunch and provisions then head for Bamboo Island. This tranquil spot is part of a national park where there are no jet skis, vendors, bars or restaurants; only sea and sand. This is the type of holiday experience that many people dream of, but few ever experience.

Koh Larn, Pattaya

If you want to take a break from the bustling beach scene of Pattaya, then head for the crystal clear waters of Koh Larn. Only a few kilometres off the coast and a 40-minute ferry ride, this is a different world. Roads from a small port village lead to superb beaches, where you can rent a deckchair for the day and dine in small restaurants run by local people.

Long Beach/Lonely Beach, Koh Chang

Far from the hustle and hassle of Koh Chang’s popular White Sand Beach – Long Beach and Lonely Beach are two enclaves with simple beach huts, sporadic generator electricity, and limited running water. A good day depends on the individual. Visitors can sunbath, swim, snorkel, go jungle trekking, or explore small fishing villages populating the area. Check out Treehouse Guest House (in both Long and Lonely Beaches) for unique seaside accommodation.

While Temperatures Soar, Gaylord Hotels Puts its Resorts on Ice! ™

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 21, 2010

Gaylord Hotels is making its Christmas list, and checking it twice…in July! Despite record temperatures and heat waves throughout the country, Gaylord Hotels is already setting the stage for the country’s most memorable holiday-inspired events including the “coolest” attraction, uniquely themed shows, live entertainment, and spectacular Christmas exhibits. Oversized decorations and millions of holiday lights, hundreds of miles long, are NOW being strung throughout all four Gaylord Hotels in National Harbor (Washington D.C. area), Nashville (re-opening November 15), Kissimmee (Orlando area) and Lake Grapevine (near Dallas).

Gaylord Hotels is preparing to reward those who have been “nice” with the most memorable of family getaways from mid November 2010 through early January 2011, with two new value packages – Christmas Memories and Grandparent Getaway– aimed at capturing the holiday spirit. And with on-property amenities featuring everything in one place — full-service spas, indoor and outdoor pools, shopping, diverse restaurants, quality entertainment and much more — each resort is destined to become a private winter wonderland beneath its own multi-acre glass atriums.

The Christmas Memories* package, available on select dates in November 2010-January 2011, includes room accommodations, tickets to ICE! and one complimentary ICE! family photo per room. The new Grandparent Getaway* – the vacation that skips a generation – allows grandparents to create lasting memories with their grandchildren this holiday season. Available on select Thursday-Saturday arrivals throughout November and December 2010, the Grandparent Getaway allows families to save up to 30 percent on two-night room accommodations and tickets to ICE!, while including a complimentary ICE! family photo and ticket to a special breakfast with a holiday character from ICE!. (http://www.gaylordhotels.com/christmas)

Cold as ICE!

For the first time, Gaylord Hotels, known for being the place to celebrate Christmas memories, is hosting four different themed versions of its signature, award-winning attraction ICE!. The attractions will transport guests to an enchanted indoor world of ice, hand-carved from nearly two million pounds of ice at each property. The resorts feature one-of-a-kind, whimsical wonderlands made up of colorful, larger-than-life, 3-D ice sculptures of beloved storybook characters, slippery ice slides, and memorable holiday scenes. Each year, more than 100 artisans from Harbin, China, a city known for its master ice carving skills, travel to the U.S. to create magnificent seasonal displays for Gaylord Hotels. To temper the chill and avoid a nose as red as Rudolph’s, visitors are bundled in oversized parkas (on loan from the resorts) while touring the charming fantasy land, which is kept at a frosty nine degrees Fahrenheit.

This year’s ICE! themes, which vary at each property, will feature loveable characters such as the Grinch, Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, grouchy Mayor Burgermeister Meisterburger, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The signature ICE! events for 2010/2011 are as follows:

Christmas on the Potomac at Gaylord National Resort: Nov. 18, 2010 – Jan. 9, 2011

He’ll be there, but there’s no chance the Grinch will steal Christmas at Gaylord National. Gaylord National Resort’s ICE! will feature 10 colorful scenes straight from the pages of the Dr. Seuss classic story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. For the third year in a row, Christmas on the Potomac will transform the entire hotel into a stunning holiday wonderland. To make every night feel like Christmas Eve, guests will enjoy a tree-lighting show, featuring a 60-foot glass Christmas tree, followed by a real-life snowfall that will take place along the atrium’s Holiday Lane. They’ll also have opportunities to enjoy indoor ice skating, “dive-in” holiday movies pool-side, special breakfasts with the Grinch, scavenger hunts, and arts and crafts with Mrs. Claus herself.
