Orlando, Florida Vacation Home Management Company Celebrates 15 Years

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 17, 2008

Global Resort Homes is celebrating their 15th anniversary by offering guests an unbeatable 15% off any Orlando vacation rental when booking a Global Resort Homes property between April 15 and May 15, 2008. In addition, guests that stay during the celebration month have the opportunity to save an additional 15% off, equaling a total savings of 30%.

Global Resort Homes was founded by Guy and Robyn Bouchard in May of 1993 and over the past 15 years Global Resort Homes has set the standard in the industry and established themselves as the premier vacation rental company in Orlando. By offering unparalleled service and an incredible alternative to staying in a cramped hotel room, Global Resort Homes gives Orlando vacationers a variety of choices for their next trip to Orlando. Their hands-on approach to the company sets them apart from their competition as they grew the company one home at a time. The Bouchard’s and their team currently manage nearly 300 properties in six resort communities, allowing them to dedicate personalized staff and individual service to each community of homes.

“We are simply a different type of company” says Robyn Bouchard. “By staying true to our original vision and only managing in select communities, we can offer the best in location, amenities and properties. This way we have on-site staff and can offer a much higher level of service to our guests and our owners alike. The best thing is, we take the guess work out of everything for our clients.”

Even after 15 years in business, Guy, Robyn and the entire Global Resort Homes team continue to remain committed to maintaining the same vision that began 15 years ago and to carrying out their mission statement of being committed to excellence with each Orlando resort rental. “We continue to hear outstanding feedback from our guests and this is what we strive for,” says General Manager, Russ Kraft. “We see the same guests returning year after year and sending their friends and family with outstanding recommendations; it’s exactly the kind of referral business that we’ve come to know and love, which makes us extremely proud of the fact that we’re doing things right.”

Guy, Robyn and team remain committed to participating and giving back to the local community as well as engaging in global-reaching mission trips. The team has not only made an impact locally but have recently traveled to New Orleans and Jamaica to help give aide to those in need. Trips this year may possibly include Mexico and South Africa. “Giving back is at the core of who we are,” says Guy Bouchard. “Being in the service industry doesn’t only mean serving our guests and owners but also serving and helping those in need. “

Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine Celebrates Grand Opening

La Jolla, California (PRWEB) November 29, 2011

?Design a building that will enhance communications between the best minds in biomedical research.?

Two years ago, Louis Coffman, vice president of the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine, challenged the design team with this goal for a new research center in La Jolla, California. Today’s grand opening for this innovative biomedical laboratory–nicknamed the “Collaboratory”–celebrates a building uniquely designed to promote social and intellectual interaction among scientists.

The Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine (Sanford) is a consortium of five world leaders in life sciences research: the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, The Scripps Research Institute, the Sanford | Burnham Medical Research Institute, the University of California, San Diego, and the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. Designed by Fentress Architects, in association with Davis Davis Architects, the laboratory was developed by Lankford/Phelps Consortium.

?Our design features the latest innovations in research and sustainability, while honoring the modern aesthetics of the neighboring Salk Institute. The signature office ?pods? speak to Louis Kahn?s extraordinary design while fostering collaboration and communication among researchers.?- Curtis Fentress, Principal-in-Charge of Design at Fentress Architects

Sanford marshals the intellectual resources of five organizational world-leaders in life sciences research, bringing scientists from each institution together for joint research and education in one of today?s most promising arenas of science. Scientists from the five collaborating organizations will focus on stem cell, neuroscience and cardiovascular studies.

Design For People | Located on a premier site adjacent to the Salk Institute and UCSD campus, the signature building is in the heart of San Diego?s biotechnology cluster. This area is home to what some might say is a disproportionate amount of brainpower. It has been called everything from a research Mecca to a “biotech supremacy,” but it is best known by its nickname ?the Mesa.?

Fentress Architects set out to design a laboratory on the Mesa that would pull researchers out of their routines and encourage interaction. With that goal in mind, the design team took the standard lab module and shifted it in opposing directions, altering the way people move through the building. This design shift increases the opportunity for impromptu meet-ups and dialogue. It creates spaces at each end of the building for shared two-story break rooms, which interconnect all levels of the building. Stairways between floors were strategically designed as areas of ?creative collision? where people and ideas intersect.

?This building is all about user experience. We were tasked to design a building where collaboration could thrive, where different organizations could come together under one roof and unite for a common goal. We are proud of the result, and honored to have been involved.?- Robin D. Ault, Project Designer, Fentress Architects

Another major design element includes private office ?pods? for senior researchers and investigators at Sanford. Cantilevered from exterior walkways, the pods offer protected views that overlook the Torrey Pines Golf Course, the historic Gliderport and the Pacific Ocean.
