Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 12, 2011
Public officials, banking executives, technology innovators, visionaries, academicians, and thought leaders made the first-ever list of the 25 Most Influential Financial Operations Professionals, released today during Fusion 2011, an annual conference and trade show at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center near Orlando.
The Institute of Financial Operations created the recognition to honor people whose contributions have furthered the professions that fall under the umbrella of the association and its affiliate organizations: International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP), International Accounts Receivable Professionals (IARP), the National Association of Purchasing & Payables (NAPP), and The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).
The new Institute is the standard-setting body and primary resource for professionals in all disciplines of financial operations and at all levels, from the CFO through the ranks of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payments, document automation, and procure-to-pay.
“As our organization has moved into the broad spectrum of financial operations, it’s time to recognize leaders in our industry,” said Thomas M. Bohn, president and CEO of the Institute. “These are the people who are driving our industry in the short term and medium term, and identifying leading-edge solutions our professionals need to put into action.”
Those named as the 25 Most Influential were notified by e-mail this week. They were nominated for their current work as catalysts for broad change through challenging traditional business models, creating groundbreaking automated solutions, defining fundamental market shifts, achieving entrepreneurial success, and embracing the changes and technological promise of the emerging financial operations landscape.
